Ourflix ("we", "us") turns your photos and videos into a private, Netflix-style gift website. Because you trust us with personal and often intimate memories, we keep this policy short and clear. This policy is for users in India and is intended to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the applicable IT Rules.
What we collect
- Account details: your phone number and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Your media: the photos and videos you upload, plus the two names, date, and caption style you enter.
- Generated content: AI-written titles and captions for your gift.
- Basic usage: how many times a gift link was opened, so we can show you your stats.
Where your media is stored
- Photos are stored in a private Supabase storage bucket and served only through short-lived signed links.
- Videos are stored and delivered via Cloudinary.
- Everything is hosted on infrastructure (Supabase, Cloudinary, Netlify) that encrypts data in transit and at rest.
AI captioning
To write captions, small copies of your photos are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude API). They are processed to generate text and are not used to train AI models. We only send what is needed to caption your gift.
Who can see your gift
Draft and preview gifts are visible only to you while logged in. A published gift is visible to anyone with its link; if you add a viewer password, only people with that password can open it. Please only upload media of people who have consented to being included.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers above, strictly to run Ourflix, or if required by law.
Keeping and deleting your data
You can ask us to delete a gift or your whole account at any time. Deleting a gift removes its photos, videos, and captions. Backups are purged on our providers' normal cycles. Contact us using the details below to request deletion or a copy of your data.
Cookies
We use a single secure, httpOnly cookie to keep you logged in, and (only if a gift is password-protected) a short-lived cookie to remember that a viewer entered the correct password. We do not use advertising trackers.
Children
Ourflix is for users aged 18 and above.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights or raise a grievance, contact our Grievance Officer below; we aim to respond within 30 days.
